For Aevy Ventures PRIVATE LIMITED

Terms of service

By accessing or using any service, platform, or content offered by Aevy Ventures Private Limited ("Aevy," "we," "us," "our") including the Aevy Video School / AevyTV website, campus platform, community spaces, or any cohort-based program - you ("you") agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use our services.

These Terms operate alongside, and incorporate, Aevy's Privacy Policy, Refund & Transfer Policy, and Placement Policy. In the event of any conflict between these Terms and those policies, these Terms take precedence with respect to cohort enrollment matters.

1. About Aevy

Aevy Ventures Private Limited is an Indian company running the Aevy Video School - a cohort-based video editing, production and career placement program. Our platforms are at aevytv.com, aevyvideoschool.com and campus.aevyvideoschool.com.

2. Eligibility & Age Requirement

The Program is intended for individuals who are 18 years of age or older as of the date of enrollment. For the purposes of this Agreement, a person below the age of 18 years is considered a "Minor" under the Indian Contract Act, 1872, and applicable Indian law.

Enrollment by a Minor: Parental or Guardian Consent Required

If you are a Minor, you may not enrol in the Program independently. Enrollment by or on behalf of a Minor is permitted only where a parent or legal guardian ("Guardian"):

  • Reads and fully understands these Terms of Service on behalf of the Minor;
  • Completes the purchase and enrollment process in their own name and capacity;
  • Expressly accepts these Terms on behalf of the Minor by completing payment; and
  • Submits a signed Parental Consent Declaration to info@aevytv.com within 48 hours of enrollment, in the format prescribed by Aevy from time to time.

Enrollment shall not be considered valid or binding on Aevy until the Parental Consent Declaration is received and acknowledged.

Guardian's Liability

Where a Minor is enrolled with Guardian consent:

  • The Guardian assumes full legal responsibility for the Minor's compliance with this Agreement, the Code of Conduct, and the Community Rules;
  • Any breach of this Agreement by the Minor shall be treated as a breach by the Guardian;
  • The Guardian shall be the primary point of contact for all matters relating to the Minor's enrollment, including refund requests, conduct issues, and placement support;
  • All financial obligations, including fees paid and any liability arising under this Agreement, shall vest in the Guardian and not the Minor.

Aevy's Right to Verify & Cancel

Aevy reserves the right to verify the age of any enrolled Student at any time during the Program. If Aevy determines that a Minor has enrolled without Guardian consent, or that false information regarding age or identity was provided at the time of enrollment, Aevy may, at its sole discretion, immediately cancel the enrollment without refund, and shall have no further obligation to the Student or Guardian under this Agreement.

Representation & Warranty

By completing payment and enrollment, you represent and warrant that:

  • You are at least 18 years of age; or
  • You are a Minor and your Guardian has read, understood, and accepted these Terms on your behalf, and will submit the required Parental Consent Declaration within the stipulated timeline.

Aevy shall be entitled to rely on this representation without independent verification, and any misrepresentation shall be solely at your risk.

3. Account & Access

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials. Sharing login credentials or course content with any third party is strictly prohibited and may result in immediate removal from the platform without refund.

Access to course materials and the community platform is personal and non-transferable. All access is granted solely for your individual use during the period specified at the time of enrollment.

Feature Access Period Starts From
Campus materials & recorded content 1 year Official Start Date of the Cohort

4. Code of Conduct & Community Rules

By enrolling, you agree to be bound by Aevy's Code of Conduct & Community Rules, which govern your behaviour throughout the Program - including in live sessions, on Discord, and in all associated community spaces. These rules cover participation standards, respect and inclusivity, harassment and discrimination, community communication norms, and the consequences of violations (including permanent removal without refund). The full Code of Conduct & Community Rules is published as a separate page on aevytv.com/campus.aevyvideoschool.com and is incorporated into this Agreement in its entirety. In the event of any conflict between that page and these Terms, these Terms take precedence.

5. Intellectual Property

All course materials, videos, resources, frameworks, and content produced by Aevy ("Content") are the exclusive property of Aevy Ventures Private Limited and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. Your enrollment grants you a limited, personal, non-transferable, non-sublicensable licence to access and use the Content for your own learning during the access period.

Work you create as part of quests and portfolio assignments remains your own intellectual property, subject to Aevy's right to use it for marketing purposes as outlined in the marketing consent provisions of these Terms.

Prohibition on Recording Live Sessions

You are strictly prohibited from recording, screen-capturing, screenshotting, live-streaming, or otherwise reproducing any live session, in whole or in part, by any means, including but not limited to screen recording software, third-party capture tools, mobile devices, or secondary cameras.

This prohibition applies to:

  • The visual and audio content of the session itself;
  • On-screen materials, slides, frameworks, or resources shared during the session;
  • Statements, feedback, or contributions made by faculty, mentors, or fellow students.

Live sessions involve the participation of faculty, mentors, and fellow cohort members who have not consented to being recorded by third parties. Unauthorised recording constitutes a violation of their reasonable expectation of privacy and may, depending on the content captured, attract liability under applicable Indian privacy and data protection law, including the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.

Aevy's Right to Record

Aevy reserves the right to record any or all live sessions conducted as part of the Program (including lectures, workshops, feedback sessions, mentor interactions, and Q&A segments) for the following limited purposes:

  • Internal review and quality improvement of the Program;
  • Curriculum development and revision of course content;
  • Mentor and faculty performance assessment;
  • Providing catch-up access to enrolled students who were unable to attend a session live, at Aevy's discretion.

Recordings made by Aevy are the exclusive property of Aevy Ventures Private Limited and are subject to the intellectual property protections set out in this clause.

No Commercial Use of Recordings

Under no circumstances may any recording, screenshot, or reproduction of a live session, whether made by Aevy or obtained through any other means, be used for any commercial purpose, including but not limited to:

  • Resale or redistribution of session content;
  • Creating competing courses, content products, or training material;
  • Monetisation on any platform including YouTube, Instagram, or any paid content service;
  • Use in advertising, sponsorships, or brand promotions.

Marketing Consent

By enrolling in the Program, you grant Aevy a non-exclusive, royalty-free, perpetual licence to use your name, photograph, video likeness, written feedback, portfolio work, and any testimonials or success-related content shared by you, in any medium or format (including but not limited to social media, website, promotional materials, and course marketing), for the purposes of marketing, promotion, and community building. This consent applies irrespective of whether you complete the Program, qualify for placement support, or secure employment through the Placement Network.

If you wish to withdraw this consent with respect to future use of your content, you may notify Aevy in writing at info@aevytv.com. Withdrawal of consent shall not affect any use already made prior to receipt of such notice, and Aevy shall not be required to remove content already published or distributed. Aevy will not attribute any content to you in a manner that is false, misleading, or defamatory.

Consequences of Violation

Any breach of this clause shall constitute a material violation of this Agreement and may result in:

  • Immediate and permanent removal from the Program without refund;
  • Forfeiture of any placement support;
  • Legal action by Aevy for injunctive relief and/or damages under applicable intellectual property and privacy laws.

6. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Aevy's total liability to you for any claim arising out of or in connection with this Agreement, whether in contract, tort, or otherwise, shall not exceed the total fees paid by you for the Program.

Aevy is not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages - including but not limited to lost income, missed employment opportunities, data loss, or third-party actions.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability for fraud, death, or personal injury caused by Aevy's negligence.

7. Non-Disparagement

You agree that, during your enrollment and at all times thereafter, you will not, directly or indirectly, make, publish, post, broadcast, or encourage any statement, comment, review, or content that:

  • Disparages, defames, or brings into disrepute Aevy Ventures Private Limited, its directors, employees, mentors, faculty, or associated personnel;
  • Is false, misleading, or materially inaccurate with respect to the Program, its curriculum, its outcomes, or Aevy's business practices;
  • Is designed to damage Aevy's reputation, goodwill, or commercial relationships;
  • Discourages prospective students from enrolling through misrepresentation of your experience.

This obligation applies across all channels, including but not limited to:

  • Social media platforms (Instagram, LinkedIn, X/Twitter, YouTube, Reddit, Threads, or any successor platform);
  • Public review platforms (Google Reviews, Trustpilot, CourseReport, or similar);
  • Private messaging groups, WhatsApp communities, or Discord servers;
  • Print, broadcast, or online media.

Consequences of Breach

A breach of this clause by you shall constitute a material violation of this Agreement. Aevy reserves the right to:

  • Seek injunctive relief to prevent further publication or distribution of disparaging content;
  • Claim damages for reputational harm and loss of business;
  • Where the breach occurs during the Program, remove you immediately without refund.

Aevy may additionally request takedown or removal of offending content through applicable platform mechanisms, and you agree to cooperate with any such takedown request in respect of content you have published.

Survival

This clause shall survive termination or expiry of this Agreement and shall remain binding on you indefinitely following the conclusion of your enrollment.

Aevy equally commits that it will not make false or malicious statements about any Student, past or present, in any public or semi-public forum.

8. Force Majeure

Aevy shall not be liable for any failure, delay, or interruption in the delivery of the Program (including live sessions, mentor availability, platform access, or placement support) arising from causes beyond its reasonable control ("Force Majeure Event").

Force Majeure Events include, without limitation:

  • Acts of God, natural disasters, floods, earthquakes, or extreme weather
  • Pandemic, epidemic, or public health emergency declared by a competent authority
  • Internet outages, server failures, or third-party platform disruptions (including but not limited to Discord, Zoom, or the campus platform)
  • Power failures or telecommunications infrastructure breakdowns
  • Strikes, lockouts, or labour disputes not involving Aevy's own workforce
  • Government orders, regulatory action, or changes in applicable law
  • Civil unrest, war, terrorism, or national emergency

In the event of a Force Majeure Event, Aevy will make reasonable efforts to:

  • Notify enrolled Students through official communication channels as soon as practicable;
  • Resume delivery of the Program or affected components within a reasonable timeframe;
  • Offer alternative arrangements (such as rescheduled sessions or extended access) where operationally feasible.

A Force Majeure Event does not, by itself, entitle any Student to a refund, transfer, or extension of access beyond what Aevy offers at its discretion. Where placement support timelines are affected by a Force Majeure Event, Aevy reserves the right to pause and extend the placement support period by a corresponding number of days, without liability.

9. Privacy & Confidentiality

Your personal data will be collected and processed in accordance with Aevy's Privacy Policy (campus.aevyvideoschool.com/p/privacy), which is incorporated by reference into this Agreement.

You agree to respect the privacy of fellow cohort members. You will not share personal or sensitive information about other students without their explicit consent.

The community is not a public space; however, no NDA has been signed by any participant. You should not assume anything shared within the community will remain private, and you agree to act accordingly.

Recruiter feedback, selection decisions, and rejection reasons are confidential and may not be shared or solicited directly from recruiters without authorisation from the Placement Team.

10. Modifications

Aevy reserves the right to modify, update, or amend these Terms of Service, the Code of Conduct & Community Rules, and the Placement Policy at any time. Updated versions will be communicated through official channels and shall apply prospectively. Continued use of our services after notice of changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
